SiteMix Pressure Grouting Fills in a Void at the Lodge Foundry

SiteMix Pressure Grouting recently completed a void fill under a concrete slab in the floor of the Lodge Foundry in South Pittsburgh, TN. The job was unique because the requirements called for a very lightweight backfill that could travel over a large area and support heavy manufacturing equipment. For this application, low-density cellular concrete (LDCC) was chosen because of its strength, speed of placement, lightweight nature and ability to travel relatively long distances. The application of LDCC by SiteMix Pressure Grouting ensured that the void would be completely filled, stabilized and would last for years to come.
